TEACHING PHIL0SOPHY
“It is not what is poured into a student that counts but what is planted.”
Linda Conway
Teaching is like gardening. A teacher should take good care of students just like a gardener plants seeds and wait for their growth. A good teacher should be patient and enthusiastic about teaching. Also, finding out each student’s advantages is really important because this can help students to build confidence. Teachers should provide an appropriate environment and good atmosphere for students to learn English. Don’t impart too much knowledge to students but try the best to arouse students’ desire to pursue knowledge. Besides, I think a teacher should pay more attention to students’ class performance instead of focusing too much on students’ grades. For me, the most important of all is inspiring students’ curiosity about English and cultivating them to be self-disciplined people.
